"Repin' for the Lord"   What in the world does 'Repin' mean?

   The old-timers know of a time when the ranches had no fences- when the cattle grazed freely without wire boundries. The springtime brandings had a need for someone to call the brands, someone of  a known REPutation. Sometimes this REP was a REPresentative of more than one outfit. The REP always had a REPutation of honesty, of being reliable, and was known for integrity. This REP was also a good hand with the horses and cattle, and cowboys knew what was behind this man called the REP.

   Jesus was a REP for His Father. In II Corinthians 5:18-20, God has called us to be ambassadors of Christ. An ambassador is a REPresentative of the one who has sent him. Now we're not boasting of being of any great REPutation, but our Father has the biggest spread around and He owns the cattle on a thousand hills and He has called us to REPresent His outfit, of which we are honored. The cross is His brand, and as His "REPS", we purpose to lead as many as call upon the name of the Lord God into the kingdom of His Son, Jesus.
